I wasn't actually going to read this for an entire year.
I get it was a book of quotes, but I didn't really feel like it was that great. Some of the quotes seemed to be repeating quotes a couple of times. While I did like some of the smaller quotes, I found that the language of the bigger ones just kinda bored me so I skimmed the really large ones. And there was only one quote from the Bible when really the Bible has a lot of encouraging verses.

Quotes:

"Whoever said you can't buy happiness forgot little puppies." -Gene Hill

"You cannot prevent the birds of sadness from passing over your head, but you can prevent their making a nest in your hair." -Chinese Proverbs

"Life is like topography, Hobbes. There are summits of happiness and success, flat stretches of boring routine, and valleys of frustration and failure." -Calvin & Hobbes

"Being happy is better than being king." -African Proverb

"Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has the more one wants." -Benjamin Franklin

"Happy is the person who finds wisdom, and he who receives understanding." -Bible

"Being nice is one of many bridges on the road to Happiness." -Donna A. Favors

"Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within. It is not what we see and touch or that which others do for us which makes us happy; it is that which we think and feel and do, first for the other fellow and then for ourselves." -Helen Keller

"It's never too late—never too late to start over, never too late to be happy." -Jane Fonda

"You can't get to happily ever after without turning the page." -Doug Kirchhofer

"The law of a good start: Start your morning with a smile. You don't need any reason to smile. Just smile to yourself first. If you can't smile, force yourself to smile anytime of the day. It boosts your immune system and radiates happiness around you." -John B. Bejo

Book : Happiness 365
(One - a - day inspirational quotes for a happy you)
Authors : Deena B Chopra and KC Harry
Pages : 376
Publication : Kindle edition

"You deserve to be happy so find it in your mind"
Is how the introduction to be book ends and then begins a collection of quotes that reinforces this thought.

I am quote lover and make sure to read at least one book a year that is a collection of quotes. This book is a collection of beautiful quotes about happiness and almost all positive emotions related to it.

Even though it's meant to be read as one a day, I ended up reading some 10 - 20 pages per day and ended up loving most of them. Especially the ones that comes under An Irish Blessing.

Good book it is and I am sure quote lovers will cherish this one for sure.

“Now that I am ninety-five years old, looking back over the years, I have seen many changes taking place, so many inventions have been made. Things now go faster. In olden times things were not so rushed. I think people were more content, more satisfied with life than they are today. You don't hear nearly as much laughter and shouting as you did in my day, and what was fun for us wouldn't be fun now.... In this age I don't think people are as happy, they are worried. They're too anxious to get ahead of their neighbors, they are striving and striving to get something better. I do think in a way that they have too much now. We did with much less.”

This quote hit.

Nice daily reading book with great quotes (some familiar, some not) on being happy. Just to save you time, the bottom line is that your happiness comes from inside of you and no one else.

There is a strict copy limit. I like to cut and paste the best quotes from my daily reading books into my journal, and this book limits copying to the point that I had to type the quotes into the journal myself. Apparently I feel the need to whine about this but it was not a huge deal.

Decent collection of quotes

Everyone should find at least a few quotes here that speak to your soul. I highlighted quite a few, but I almost wish I had this collection in printed form (a calendar maybe?) to make it easier to keep my favorites posted in various locations.

A different kind of book

The quotes in this book were interesting. I loved some and t thought others were stupid. I didn't do only/ 1 a day as I thought it wasn't worth literally 365 days.

A Set Of Thoughts and Quotes

This is a collection of quotes and thoughts for 365 days of meditations. It's a decent, but unexceptional collection though adequate to the task. The book is ok, and the message valuable - but there are other daily devotionals out there I like more.

I'll admit 2 things: #1I didn't read this in its entirety Reason being is this is a "quote a day" type book. I have pages through it reading some but I didn't want to read them all as I wanted some surprises when I get to new day

#2-- although I may not agree with each and every quote I have read, most are inspirational. One must find their own happiness. I'm not sure any one person, or any one book can REALLY tell us how or what will make us happy! It's up to us and our choice

I think the authors tried to pick quotes that were both positive and uplifting. Whether I believe in all of them or another reader does is truly personal so I can't really say. A quote that may have some very special meaning for me, may be "meh" to someone else reading it

I can't fault the authors for their choices as I think they chose wisely and positively

My biggest takeaway from this book is that nobody really knows what happiness is.

There are so many contradictions between the various happiness themed quotes in this book.

Happiness is a state of mind. Happiness is based on your actions.

You have to work towards happiness. Happiness isn't something you can make happen.

Money can't buy happiness. Money can buy happiness.

Happiness is being satisfied with what you have. Happiness is working towards what you want, and achieving it.

You have to give happiness to others before you can be happy. Nobody else can make you happy.

Philosophical debates on the nature of happiness aside, this was a pretty nice collection of quotes. And if they don't make you happy, maybe they'll at least inspire you a little bit.

Happiness 365 is a book made up of a series of life quotes placed on separate pages to provide people with inspiration over a year. A lot of quotes and authors are repetitive.

For me, this book was a nice reminder that no one can give you or take my happiness away. My happiness is not dependent on someone's opinion of me but rather how I see/feel about myself.

I read this book throughout 2015. It certainly added some thoughtful quotes to my days. Made me focus on being joyful each day I read it.

Happiness usually makes the world go 'round a little smoother.

I found several new favorite quotes from this book! Sometimes it did seem like there were a few quotes in a row by the same person, which seemed a little mundane. But overall, still good.

Recommended for anyone who will enjoy an extra little bit of brightness in their day -- so, like, EVERYONE. :)

There is nothing much to discuss about the book apart from saying that it reaches it's purpose. And that's the most important thing.
The book will give you small boosts of inspiration and remind you not to forget to smile as smiling makes you happy if you are feeling down.
There are all kinds of quotes incorporated in the book and they may be contradictary at times as we all have our own sense of happiness. But in the end it doesn't matter. At least for me as all quoutes are very postive and nice.

This book was fairly disappointing. In Kindle form, it's a pain to read because each short quote is on a separate page. That might be great if you were actually reading it as a quote each day, but I wasn't. The quotes are very often contradictory, and there's no discussion about the different ideas presented. In addition, many of the quotes are by the same authors over and over again and say almost the same things. Because the focus is so narrow, it really doesn't even work well as inspirational sayings across a whole year. This is a lackluster collection at best.

Beautiful book but lots of repetition

It was an uplifting read, and I'm sure that if I had actually read one quote per day for a year I wouldn't have noticed, but the book had quite a bit of repetition. I suppose that it would be difficult to find that many quotes without any similarities, but I found it a bit annoying. Overall, though, I am glad that I read it and will be reading it again.

This was a nice collection of quotes. In my opinion, it could have been further improved by making certain that there weren't several quotes by the same author in a row, and a bit more spelling/grammar checking-- especially towards the last third.
Overall, though, a good collection; would recommend to quote lovers.
