Dana, a dedicated Cath Lab nurse at Doctors Hospital, had just finished a long day when her husband, Butch, suddenly woke her up—he was having a heart attack. Thanks to the swift and expert care from her colleagues at Doctors Hospital, Butch’s life was saved. Watch their powerful story below.

As part of the United Way of the CSRA Project Serve Day, our dedicated team from Doctors Hospital volunteered at Golden Harvest Food Bank. Together, we sorted and packed an incredible 20,000 pounds of fresh produce, ensuring that families in Emmanuel County received nutritious food during Saturday’s distribution. We also took pride in packing 1,000 meals for children, helping to make a difference in their lives.We’re proud to support our community and work together to fight hunger!

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is pleased to welcome Jeffrey Harden, BSN, MBA, NE-BC, FACHE, as the new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). In this role, he will have executive leadership for nursing functions at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. “We are thrilled to welcome Jeffrey as our new Chief Nursing Officer,” said Joanna Conley, Chief Executive Officer at Doctors Hospital. “Jeffrey’s positive leadership and collaborative approach will be invaluable as we continue to grow and support the healthcare needs of our communities. We look forward to the significant contributions he will make at our organization.”Previously, Harden was the Chief Nursing Officer at Memorial Health Meadows, an HCA Healthcare facility in Vidalia, Georgia, where he served for six years. He began his healthcare career as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department. He has held various leadership roles spanning both inpatient and outpatient services, including Director of Inpatient Services, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/Pediatrics, and eventually Chief Nursing Officer at Memorial Health Meadows. Harden received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Walden University. He is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Doctors Hospital is pleased to congratulate Jensen Niemeier on receiving the Patricia Frist Scholarship Award, funded by the HCA Healthcare Foundation!The Patricia Frist Memorial Scholarship honors dependent children of HCA Healthcare employees with financial support toward a postsecondary education through an application process.Jensen is the son of Karen Niemeier, a registered nurse in our Wound Clinic at Doctors Hospital, and he currently attends Kennesaw State University, where he is pursuing a degree in Biology.“When I learned I received this award, I was ecstatic and so thankful.
