Good class. Assignments were easy as long as you followed instructions. Professor cared a lot about her students and provided support for students who needed it. If you are interested in taking an Anthropology class at UBCO, definitely take it with Professor McDonald.

Fiona McDonald is a great professor at UBC. ANTH 327 was taught in an very engaging manner, and content itself was easy to understand. Professor McDonald does a great job of creating a positive atmosphere within the class, and encourage students to share their thoughts/opinions frequently. Really enjoyed the class.

Professor Fiona McDonald is the best professor I've had at UBCO! She clearly cares for her students, and teaches content in an extremely digestible manner. In addition, she is extremely eager to help students and ensure that they have the best learning outcome. I highly recommend this class.

The most amazing prof I've had. I've had a rough term and struggled with keeping up with the coursework, but Professor McDonald reached out and was willing to provide support so I can get back on track. The course itself is interesting, and her weekly engagement assignments may seem annoying but will help you alot if you take time to do it.

Dr. McDonald was really good and she wanted you to really understand the content so she is super serious about making sure you have good and original notes. The only thing is that she took over a month to return our midterms & the TA was really hard on marking our notes.

Fiona might seem nice but she assigns way too much work for an introductory class as an elective. She NEVER posts the lecture slides (copyright bs) and assumes that we have all the time in the world to do this class. She assigns weekly notes and expects way too much from students. She does not grade anything on time (took a month to grade midterm)

Professor McDonald was a great teacher and I really enjoyed her class. She was super friendly and you could tell she cared about her students. Her lectures and assignments were always very straight forward, and as long as you participated and tried hard you did well.

Although this prof was caring and kind she didn't get our midterm grades back to us till the week of our final. the course itself wasn't horrible it is just so extremely frustrating how long she takes to mark.

Dr. McDonald was one of my favourite professors this term! She was clearly passionate about anthropology and it showed in her enthusiasm throughout each lecture. She was great about answering student questions and giving thoughtful feedback. I would definitely recommend this class and I was inspired to take more anthropology classes in the future!

Fiona is amazing! She ties course content to disciplines beyond anthropology to make it easier for students to understand. Exams are fair; they are made of MC and short answer questions that tend to focus on examples discussed in class. If you attend lectures and read the textbook, you will be fine! Fiona also gives great feedback on assignments.

Fiona is very inspirational and motivational. I intend to take more courses with her, as she is extremely supportive and believes in the successes of he students. She is available outside of class and gives great feedback to every student. It is really important to attend class because each class is (vital) content heavy. She goes above and beyond.

Easily my favourite professor that I had the pleasure of encountering during my undergraduate career. Her passion is obvious and inspiring, and she always tries to be available for her students. Fiona is one of the best profs I've had in my undergraduate career. She is very caring and wants to help students succeed! The class wasn't that difficult; she likes testing students' knowledge in writing (short answers), so make sure to read the textbook! It was mostly just the application of concepts and definitions that you need to pass the exam

Fiona is honest to god one of the best prof's at UBCO. She is so passionate about her work that it is hard not to be interested in the material. I think we had a textbook - I didn' use it. Maybe once before the final... I got an A. There were two essays that if you put a little effort into will bump your grade a ton. Fiona cares about success of u.
